Sociologists convinced me in the 70’s that gender differences are a result of conditioning – the way we are brought up. That boys and girls are treated differently. If we weren’t, the theory states, we would behave the same and have similar characteristics. Since working with hundreds of young people, I disagree! This perspective seems way off the mark. Males and females are undoubtedly different!

The issues surrounding gender – maleness and femaleness are complex. Only a part of the whole can be glimpsed here. With awareness of gender differences you can appreciate and get to know each other anew . If you are interested in gender, you can explore it further through reading and in discussion groups. There is much to be gained by understanding the issues. With awareness, there is a possibility of living in a harmonious World.
