GIRLS GROWING UP!
Girls Growing Up! provides a landmark for the girls embarking into
puberty and then later passing through the gateway into the Mysteries of the Feminine.
Mums and daughters embark upon a journey.
There is a ritual and honoring in a deep sharing between
mothers and their daughters.
Girls get an embodied sense of what happens to them when they
begin to cycle. Prepared for what lies ahead, girls become more
comfortable about their changing body and understand their
fluctuating emotions.
 
This article appeared in a school newsletter. It says much about the magic of the day:
Sitting together in a circle, thirteen beautiful girls and their mothers shared a very special day - honouring, celebrating and learning about becoming a woman.
Amrita created a wonderful atmosphere filled abundantly with flowers, cushions, candles, food and gifts. Amrita skillfully wove magic around and within us, through story, song, sensitive discussion and moving ritual.
Each girl honoured themselves and their mother. Mothers honoured their daughters creating pride, purpose and a powerfufl connection to the line of women. Their was much laughter and many tears flowed too, bringing mothers and daughters closer and closer together - nestling into each others arms as if reunited to the very soul.
Such a beautiful and enriching experience - one that will never be forgotten and will nourish these lucky girls as they walk their life journey knowing what a gift it is to become a woman.

for their daughters is smooth.
Others say that their daughters desire to express themselves in a more
feminine way.
Girls have created special circle time for their friends and can be
