GIRLS GROWING UP!
Girls Growing Up! provides a landmark for the girls embarking into
puberty and then later into the Mysteries of the feminine.
Mums and daughters embark upon a journey.
There is a ritual and honoring in a deep sharing between
mothers and their daughters.
Girls get an embodied sense of what happens to them when they
begin to cycle. Prepared for what lies ahead, girls become more
comfortable about their changing body and understand their
fluctuating emotions.
  After attending Girls Growing Up! some mothers say that the transition
for their daughters is smooth.
Others say that their daughters desire to express themselves in a more
feminine way.
Girls have created special circle time for their friends and can be
knowledgeable and supportive to their friends.
I wanted to thank you so much. Words can't do justice to the magic that
happened that day. When I remember what we were like when we first arrived
- a bit unsure, self-conscious, nervous and compare it to the connection we all
felt at the end of the day, there really was a transformation.
I know everyone got a lot out of the experience, mothers and daughters alike.
I think every school should be including your workshop for this age group - when
I think back to my school days and the hygiene film sponsored by Tampax that
we were shown with no discussion, it makes me cringe.
