WEAVING A COMMUNITY WEB
We invited Amrita to lead us in a ceremony of renewal. It was an event that pulled together staff, parents, and children in a weaving of aspirations. It was simple, powerful and easy to participate in. The ceremony created a situation where we could forget old problems and move forward to a better, clearer time - renewing our commitment to the school and our own values.
These large gatherings do not just happen. Amrita created, in a very gentle way, the opening and steps for us to follow to enable change to occur. She showed enthusiasm, respect and creative use of available materials and made sure that the work was grounded. People who said they wanted to see this or that change stated what action they would take to ensure that things happened.
I have been involved in creating ceremony for twenty years. I was impressed with Amrita’s respect, her ability to include and allow the process to unfold in a way that was best for everyone.
She showed remarkable leadership abilities in the way she stood back to let things happen, but also kept the process moving, giving it a beginning and an end. We established our heartfelt connections in a three dimensional way, involving our bodies, minds and our spirits.
I recommend any school or group who need assistance with transitions, with interpersonal relationships, problems in the staff or student population, or Rites of Passage to call on Amrita.
She, as a neutral outside consultant who can really help bring about change and save much suffering, allowing us to get on with our beloved work. Janice, a teacher.

Thank you for facilitating the Faculty meeting and allowing space for things to be said. I have come to a place of acceptance and freedom. In the recent crises I had shelved two very big personal issues. It was wonderful to take these needs off the shelf, dust them off and address them in such a rich way.
Something I love about you is your gentle spirit; the soft, gentle approach you had for the people and the work you did; your ability to listen well to another; your "winging it" which speaks to a great deal of trust; your intuition; your peacefulness, there was never any sense of anxiety or being rushed with any of the processes you presented. I see you I as a mother firmly rooted in the earth, yet also as a wanderer. You did an amazing amount in the time you were here. It felt full, good and complete when you left.
