A SPECIAL CELEBRATION AND HONOURING

Weaving magic into the process of growing up.

Through our changing bodies we are preparing ourselves,emotionally, mentally and spiritually for the onset of puberty, menstruation and for
growing up!

Girls Growing Up! evolved out of Amrita's research with girls, the connection she hads to her own menstrual cycle and because of the power she feels we have as woman.

She designed a special one day program for girls who are 10 years and over to attend with their mothers.

Girls Growing Up! provides a landmark for the girls embarking into the Mystery of the feminine. There is a ritual and honoring in a deep sharing between mothers and their daughters.

Girls are more comfortable about the changes in their body after attending this workshop. I take the mums and daughters on a journey.

PUBERTY MADE EASIER

Some mothers say that the transition for their daughters is smooth and they attribute this to attending Girls Growing Up! Others say that their daughters desire to express themselves in a more feminine way afterwards.

Girls have created special circle time for their friends. They are prepared not only for their own changes but also to be knowledgeable and supportive to their friends.

Because of the strategies I use, girls are able to get an embodied sense of what happens to them when they cycle - fear, dread and shame are released.

Growing Up Great! is a one day workshop for girls 13 and older.

Filled with information and activities this age-appropriate program makes a difference. Girls are more comfortable about the changes in their body, gain understanding and are prepared for what lies ahead. It is also a special day of honoring and ritual.

The day includes songs, stroy telling, eating glorious food. The girls make special mementos to remind them of the day. Mothers enjoy precious time with their daughter and relax and nurtured by being with other women.

Callie and I want to thank you for the loving and informative day, yesterday, with you and Julia and all the other mothers and daughters who came along. We have been very refreshed by this work and will keep a new 'understanding' between us, just the two of us, in this house full of testosterone we inhabit.

I'll try to hold Callie for a moment each day to remind her how wonderful she is and how special it is to become a butterfly.
