SEXUALITY

Many are not educated about sexuality and how to be comfortable with sexual energy.

In some cultures it is a well-practiced art with the motivation of meeting the divine in your lover and experiencing total union as a result. Sexual contact can be many things. It can be a purely physical act to release sexual tension, a way of using power over someone else or a thoughtless and unconscious act, which is animal like.

It is selfish when you:

  • seek sexual activity to only release your tension or gratify your senses
  • are more focussed on what is going on for yourself and forget about the other
  • get caught up in what is going on in your mind, off into fantasies
  • are no longer connected to your body’s sensations
  • are in fear of opening your body or your heart and so close down
  • are afraid of being abandoned or hurt

These things and many more stop you from being present with the other and also stop the pleasure and love from flowing between you. Grab, Grope and Grunt Having sex like this can feel like someone is masturbating, using your body. He or she is not really aware that you are there. The person is there to satisfy his or her desire for sexual release.

This is not a pleasant experience. Grab, grope and grunt is where the person is eager for sexual release and doesn’t care how he or she gets it. You are literally grabbed, sometimes against your wishes, your genital area is touched, you are banged at a few times, the person ‘comes’ and collapses. Bad sex is like eating cold fish and chips. Unappealing, it’s tasteless with the fat solidified and sticking to your mouth, leaving a yucky taste afterwards. Words that describe this kind of sex: slimy, distasteful, dishonouring, disrespectful, awful, degrading, dirty, low, base and unfulfilling. Your thought might be – never again!
